ASET honors those that have contributed to the Society’s success through its award programs, two of which are now accepting nominations. Individuals are recognized for their outstanding efforts that benefit not only ASET, but also the field of neurodiagnostics. We encourage you to nominate a deserving individual that you may know for these awards.

Now Accepting Nominations for 2018 Trustees Award

The Trustees Award is the Society’s penultimate honor. The award may be given to an individual, institution, neurodiagnostic program, or industry supplier who, through a body of work, has made a profound impact on the neurodiagnostic profession and contributions to the advancement in the improvement of quality patient care. Nominees also represent an extraordinary commitment to the profession or to ASET, and reflect the values, ideals and ethics of the profession. Nominations for the 2018 Trustees Award are now open. The deadline for nominations is May 30, 2018. For more information about the program and to download the nomination form, visit Award Programs at aset.org.

Call for Theda Sannit Award Nominations Now Open

The Theda Sannit Outstanding Education Award was established in 1990 by the Philadelphia Regional EEG Technologists Association and the Eastern Society of EEG Technologists to honor Theda’s accomplishments and contributions to EEG. The award was first presented to Theda Sannit herself. In 1992, ASET continued the award on a national basis, recognizing outstanding educators in the field of neurodiagnostics. Nominations for the award are based on member recommendations. Nominees for the outstanding educator award may be a technologist or a physician with the following eligibility criteria:

  • A minimum of five years’ experience in Neurodiagnostics
  • Professional contributions in the areas of publications, teaching/training, and/or educational development
  • Demonstration of educational expertise in both national and regional society involvement, such as directing programs, providing instruction, and creating training materials
  • Teaching experience in a formal Neurodiagnostic Training program is always a plus but not a nomination eligibility requirement.

To recommend a candidate, please send the name of the person and a brief note stating the reasons for your recommendation to Riki Rager, Awards Committee Chair, at riki.rager@gmail.com. The deadline for nomination recommendations is May 15, 2018.
