Fountains of Knowledge Flowing for the 60th Year!

August 15 – 17, 2019

Join us as we celebrate ASET’s 60th Anniversary Annual Conference in Kansas City, Missouri, also known as The City of Fountains. This year’s conference presents excellent opportunities for expanding your professional knowledge, networking with new colleagues and friends, learning new practices and exploring ASET’s hometown. Start off the conference on Thursday morning by attending the Lewis Kull Memorial Keynote Address about living a life of influence, essential for all of us as we impact patients’ lives every day. On Friday morning, the Ellen Grass Lecture will examine burnout in the workplace. Since healthcare workers are particularly susceptible to experiencing burnout due to the high stress of our jobs, Dr. Ara Hall will discuss ways we can work to improve job satisfaction and engagement. Last but not least, we welcome our very own Faye Mc Nall as the Kathleen Mears Memorial Lecturer on Saturday morning. Faye will reflect on her career as the former ASET Director of Education for the past 14+ years and help us gain insights into our profession and a better understanding of trends and shared concerns among our fellow colleagues. The closing event of the conference will be the 2019 ASET Symposium and will discuss safety in the workplace and how we can protect ourselves and each other from a variety of threats.

On Wednesday, August 14th, consider attending the CoA-NDT Educator’s Workshop. This workshop isn’t just for formal Neurodiagnostic Technology training programs, but for anyone interested in expanding their current staff by becoming a clinical site. A portion of the workshop will focus on the partnership needed between educational programs and hospitals to ensure everyone’s success. The workshop also will discuss concepts of and best practices for teaching in a clinical environment and will provide hands-on clinical training for preceptors. This is a free workshop and CEUs will be granted. To register, visit www.coa-ndt.org.

Not only will you have endless opportunities for professional development while attending the conference, but we also have planned several networking activities. Join us in the Exhibit Hall on Thursday evening as we celebrate our members, exhibitors and, of course, ASET’s 60th Anniversary with a Welcome Reception. After dinner and before you retire for the night on Friday, take a walk down Memory Lane with us! We will enjoy the musical stylings of ASET’s Dendrites Trio with a complimentary glass of wine from the Missouri Wine & Grape Board as we toast this very special anniversary.

For a complete schedule of events, description of the special lectures, list of networking activities, hotel and travel accommodations and to register, please visit the ASET website www.aset.org/annualmeeting and download the Preliminary Program and Registration brochure.

The Annual Conference will be held at the Sheraton Kansas City Hotel at Crown Center. Join us for the most cost-effective professional development choice you can make all year. For the full three-day conference, you can earn up to 23 ASET CEUs!
