One of ASET’s strategic goals is to increase awareness of the value of Neurodiagnostic professionals. One way to do this is to get the word out about who we are and what we do. In support of this, the Department of Education was able to present virtually at two events in the Fall. The first was the American School Counselor Association’s “Careers You Should Know About” webinar. The second was Epilepsy Awareness Day, which had over 1700 attendees. This advocacy and awareness event is typically held in Disney Land, and we know they hope to be back in-person November 8–10, 2021.

The Department of Education is currently busy planning our 2021 webinars and conferences. We know there will be something for everyone! First up in our annual webinar series is Leah Hanson, R. EEG/EP T., FASET presenting “EEG Electrodes – Class II Medical Devices and Electrode Impact of Streamlining Care” on January 20.

Stay tuned to ASET’s event calendar for the full 2021 slate of webinars.

Don’t forget to save the date for the ASET 2021 Conference. Our annual education and networking event will be August 19–21 in San Diego. For more info or to register to attend, visit the Annual Conference page.

If you are planning on attending, why not do it for free? It’s not too late to submit your poster or platform abstract. The deadline for submissions is March 1, 2021.
