The ASET Foundation governance consists of a volunteer Board of Directors who donate their time and expertise to ensure that this philanthropic arm of ASET is able to financially support the funding and awarding of scholarships for ASET educational events and tuition grants for Neurodiagnostic Technologists. I want to share with you recent updates with this dedicated team we’re fortunate to have.

Recently completing their terms of service and deserving of many thanks are Patti Baumgartner, R. EEG/EP T., CNIM, FASET and Mary Ann Griffin, R.EP T. Kudos to both for all your work on behalf of the ASET Foundation!

Newly appointed ASET Foundation Board Members filling the two vacancies for a three-year term are Simon Griffin, BSc, and Susan Agostini, R. EEG/EP T., CLTM, FASET. Welcome and thank you!

News Flash

The ASET Foundation is starting a month-long fundraising campaign for the month of November. A Go-Fund-Me page will allow us to make it easy for donors to help us cover educational costs for Neurodiagnostic Technologists who need financial support to study for Board exams or obtain CEUs to maintain their credentials.

COVID-19 has impacted the ASET Foundation because there was no live ASET Annual Conference this year, so all those fundraising activities; silent auction, coin bags, and honorarium donations, did not happen. Since November is National Epilepsy Awareness Month, we want to make sure that Neurodiagnostic Technologists have access to the best education so they can provide the best care possible for epilepsy patients. Please consider donating this month.

GoFundMe starts with a minimum of $10 for donations. Any amount you can afford will help us meet our goal of $5,000.  Click here to see the GoFundMe page.

Scholarship Update

The ASET Foundation recently awarded scholarships to several ASET members to cover the registration fee for the ASET Fall Seminar, Skill Building for EEG Pattern Recognition. The last two sessions of this interactive series are scheduled for November 3 and 10. Don’t miss out on the last scholarship opportunities of the year.

The Lewis Kull Online Education Scholarship covers the cost of up to two ASET online courses from any of the curricula offered by ASET. The deadline for applications is December 31. You must be a member of ASET to qualify for this scholarship. Click here to download the application form.
