Why do I attend the ASET Annual Conference… hmmm?

“Life is beautiful not because of the things we see or do. Life is beautiful because of the people we meet.” ~Simon Sinek~

Most definitely, it is about the people… some are new and others who I have not seen for several years. The funny thing is remembering faces, but not everyone’s name and keenly checking out their name badge! The camaraderie at the Annual Conferences is great and I enjoy having conversations with other professionals about what’s going on in their lives and work. Moreover, meeting new members for the first time from different parts of the country who have never attended an ASET Annual Conference before has always been a plus for me! One of my favorite things is traveling to different parts of the country to attend the meetings.

During the conference, I love going from one course to another without a lot of hassle… you can follow the course agenda through ASET’s Conference App, which makes it much easier. It’s always inspirational to hear advanced topics about neuromuscular disorders from the Neurodiagnostic experts and joining in their NCS workshops. Attending the Kathleen Mears Lectures always piques my curiosity because of the interesting array of topics given by a variety of different lecturers. All this coupled with earning my CEUs at the same time, which can aid in advancing career moves.

Also, attending the Exhibition Hall and reviewing the different poster abstracts as well as meeting the various vendors and learning about the upsurge of new Neurodiagnostic products.

The entertainment of songs and music with The Dendrites has always been fun… the laughter and dancing as well.

ASET staff and board members are listening to the feedback of the members and the annual meetings continue to improve each year!
