Scholarships and Grants by the ASET Foundation

The mission of the ASET Foundation is to financially support educational opportunities for Neurodiagnostic technologists. It is focused on supporting ASET members to ensure that the highest level of skill is offered to all patients who need Neurodiagnostic services. The Foundation is a separate organization from ASET and administers all ASET scholarships and grants. The Foundation also conducts fundraising to cover the cost of these awards.

ASET Annual Conference attendees are familiar with the ASET Foundation’s Silent Auction. For the first time ever this year, the auction was an online event, enabling ASET members who were not at the conference to bid on items. The auction was very successful, with 42 items donated, raising $3,400 in funds. Plans are in the works to offer another online auction next year.

Scholarships and Grants Awarded

There were a total of 12 Company-Sponsored Scholarships (CSSs) donated by vendors for the 2020 annual conference, which were held until 2021, when last year’s live event ASET Annual Conference was canceled. In addition, our very generous vendors sponsored additional scholarships this year, adding another 12 virtual conference scholarships. So for this year’s annual conference, a very impressive total of 24 CSS Scholarships were awarded for a total value of $10,700.

Lewis Kull On-Line Course Scholarships

The ASET Foundation awards Lewis Kull online course scholarships to ASET member applicants quarterly to cover the cost of two ASET online courses. The deadline for the last round of application submissions for this scholarship is December 31, 2021Click here to apply now.

Tuition Grant Applications

The ASET Foundation awarded six tuition grants in 2021 for a total of $5,000. The 2022 ASET Tuition Grant application deadline is June 1, 2022Click here to apply now.

Knott Lecture Program

This program funds travel and an honorarium to bring a nationally recognized technologist speaker to a regional NDT meeting. Officers of regional societies and ASET Chapters may submit an application to host a Knott Lecture. The deadline for this application is also June 1, 2022. ASET Foundation collaborates with ABRET to offer a new scholarship program!

Great news! The ABRET Board of Directors recently accepted the ASET Foundation proposal to manage a scholarship program for ABRET. The ABRET scholarships will cover costs for exam candidates to take ABRET Exams. As this program becomes available in early 2022, we’ll announce more details. Click here to find all ASET Foundation Scholarship and Grant applications at the ASET Foundation website, at the “Downloads” tab.
