The mission of the ASET Foundation is to financially support educational opportunities for Neurodiagnostic technologists. It is focused on supporting ASET members to ensure that the highest level of skill is offered to all patients who need Neurodiagnostic services. The Foundation is a separate organization from ASET and administers all ASET scholarships and grants. The Foundation also conducts fundraising to cover the cost of these awards.
ASET Annual Conference attendees are familiar with the ASET Foundation’s Silent Auction. For the first time ever this year, the auction was an online event, enabling ASET members who were not at the conference to bid on items. The auction was very successful, with 42 items donated, raising $3,400 in funds. Plans are in the works to offer another online auction next year.
Scholarships and Grants Awarded
There were a total of 12 Company-Sponsored Scholarships (CSSs) donated by vendors for the 2020 annual conference, which were held until 2021, when last year’s live event ASET Annual Conference was canceled. In addition, our very generous vendors sponsored additional scholarships this year, adding another 12 virtual conference scholarships. So for this year’s annual conference, a very impressive total of 24 CSS Scholarships were awarded for a total value of $10,700.
