Looking back, I don’t think I had any idea how ASET Conferences were going to impact me. It seems like a lifetime ago that I first attended the ASET Annual Conference. I remember being so excited to attend. I was going to meet my mentors and experience my first conference in one fell swoop, that was more than 20 years ago. I’ve only missed maybe five conferences since then. So, why do I continue to attend you ask? There is a feeling you have when you are surrounded by like-minded people that is hard to put in words. I can use words like comfort, happiness, friendship; but it is more than that. Personally, I attend ASET conferences for that feeling and a sense of comradery. Through ASET conference attendance I can see old friends, make new friends, have conversations that propel me through the year and learn new things. ASET conferences are fun and educational at the same time. This is why I attend.
